Pulp's Jarvis Cocker to return to BBC 6 Music show

Pulp singer Jarvis Cocker has announced that he will resume presenting duties on BBC 6 Music this spring.

The Brit will return to his programme Sunday Service from March 1.

He was replaced by Iggy Pop after taking a year out from presenting the show.

Cocker said in December 2013: "Crop rotation has long been recognised as a way of preserving the fertility of the soil.

"Every now and again a field has to be left fallow for a year in order to make sure it has time to recover. In 2014, I will be that field. 'Tis done with the firm conviction that it will lead to a stronger and more vigorous Sunday Service when I return to 6 Music's pastures."

Cocker has also recently been working as editor-at-large with publishers Faber.
