Today sees the multi-award winning, platinum selling British popstar surpass 20 million album sales worldwide – an incredible achievement for an artist who released his debut solo single a little over five years ago.

Sam Smith’s debut album ‘In The Lonely Hour’ entered the charts at No.1 in the UK charts and No.2 on the US Billboard Top 200 in May 2014 and has gone on to sell over 15.8 million copies globally, breaking records in America as the highest first week sales for a UK male artist in the SoundScan era, as well as being the only artist in the world in 2014 to sell 1 million albums in both the UK and US.

November 2017 saw Sam return with his sophomore album ‘The Thrill Of It All’ which again debuted at No. 1 in the UK and also in the US, as well as topping charts across the world and has already sold over 4 million copies worldwide to date. Smith’s chart domination has continued into 2018 with his Calvin Harris collaboration ‘Promises’ spent six weeks at the top of the UK charts.

Smith came to the forefront after featuring on Disclosure’s 2012 breakout hit ‘Latch’ and went on to work with Naughty Boy on No.1 hit single ‘La La La’. At the beginning of 2014 he won the BRITS Critics’ Choice award and also topped the BBC Sound Poll that year, and since then has gone on to prove he is one of the biggest breakout UK male artist in recent years. During his career Sam has notched up seven UK No. 1 records to date including ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ – the first Bond theme to reach the position, gaining him a Guinness World Record. That same year saw him bring home four Grammy Awards, two BRITs and an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Original Song (Writing’s On The Wall).

Sam has a formidable reputation as a live performer, selling out worldwide tours including an unforgettable two nights at the Staples Center in LA this summer. The Thrill Of It All World Tour has already seen Sam play over 100 dates worldwide this year and will continue into 2019 with 5 massive dates scheduled for South Africa next April.
