Shot in London by Buzz White, this year’s biggest breakthrough artist Dave covers GQ’s Men of the Year issue. In addition to the cover, Dave also picked up the GQ Men of the Year Award for Breakthrough Music Act in addition to two AIM Independent Music Awards for Best Independent Album and Best Independent Track at both of last night’s award ceremonies.

Widely considered the most vital British album of recent times, Dave released Psychodrama at the beginning of March to universal acclaim. Described by The Guardian as “the boldest and best British rap album in a generation” and “the most astonishing combination of insightful social commentary and exceptional musical talent” by British Vogue, the album instantly debuted at No.1 in the Official Charts UK Album Chart on release, breaking records for the biggest first week streams for a debut British album ever. Having recently been certified Gold, ‘Psychodrama’ has cemented both its reputation as a modern classic and Dave as one of the most important artists our time.

With a recent Mercury Prize nomination, a new feature on Ed Sheeran’s No.6 Collaborations Project and a starring role on the return of the new Drake-produced series of Top Boy this month, Dave continues go from strength to strength, establishing himself as one of the most important young voices of our time.
