Today sees British rising star LOLA YOUNG celebrate the release of her new EP Renaissance with a brand-new track ‘Same Bed’, the third and final single to be taken from the new body of work out now on all DSP’s via Island Records - https://LolaYoung.lnk.to/RenaissanceEPPR

Inviting listeners in with her raw vocals and diaristic lyrics, Lola Young’s new EP Renaissance judiciously explores romanticism and emotion with a maturity beyond her years. The EP opens with ‘Pick Me Up’ which launched with an incredible session for Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show last month. Today’s track ‘Same Bed’ then follows with a laidback and soulful mix of R&B and jazz before closing with ‘None For You’. Lola gave a spine-tingling performance of the final track in the echoing halls of London’s V&A museum for the accompanying video, marking the first time that an artist has been permitted to record there.

Speaking on Renaissance, Lola explains: “Renaissance is about rebirth, and so is this EP. It’s about learning through love and experience. Renaissance looks at my relationships, and the ideas of lust, love, loss and growth.”

Today’s EP follows on from the success of Lola’s debut body of work Intro, released back in November which marked the moment Lola became one of the most exciting new up-and-coming names in the UK. Early tracks such as ‘6 Feet Under’ and ‘Blind Love’ picked up huge radio support from the likes of Annie Mac, Benji B, Giles Peterson, Jo Wiley, Mistajam and DJ Target while simultaneously securing Lola’s position on the 2020 ones to watch lists for the likes of Dummy, Evening Standard, The i, The Sun and CLASH.
