Today sees rising West London rapper Tia Carys release her debut EP EnRoot, which is available to buy/stream on all platforms via Ministry of Sound here: https://lnk.to/EnRoot

Carys’ debut EP EnRoot is a solid 5-track collection that speaks directly to the challenges young people face growing up: everything from friendships and relationships, to self-harm, social media, and sexuality. Set to a soundtrack of rap, hip-hop, R&B and drill, it solidifies Tia’s talent and showcases her range, emotion and prowess.

Speaking on the EP, Tia explains: "Overcoming the journey of trials and tribulations from my teenage years, I’ve penned my discovery of blessings, lessons & roots from this challenging chapter which I know my amazing supporters can identify with one way or another."

This month Tia dropped her latest track Reflect In Mirrors, which see’s Tia at her most reflective, dealing with the complexities that often come with the end of a relationship, life events and changes in the midst of your teenage years. The video directed by MOBO nominee Otis Dominique (Jorja Smith, Kojjey Radical) is bold, and links strongly back to the message in the song:

About

Tia Carys kick started her way into the music scene with a DIY approach by dropping bold and honest freestyles on social media which led to co-signs from the likes of Nadia Rose, Wretch 32, Chip, Avelino and the late Cadet. Making a mean statement of arrival, 20-year-old Tia released her heavily supported breakout single ‘English x Ghana’ late last year, in which Carys spoke on her mixed-race identity and connecting with her Ghanaian heritage. Receiving early support from the likes of The Fader, GQ, Clash, The Independent, Annie Mac and DJ Target, Tia Carys is one to watch.
