The Enemy will release new single ‘This Is Real’ on 22nd October through Cooking Vinyl, which is taken from their Top 10 album ‘Streets in the Sky’.

The single will also feature on a 4 track EA SPORTS FIFA 13 EP, to tie in with the release of the popular football video game, and will also include The Enemy’s single ‘Saturday’ along with two tracks from Reverend & the Makers. The band will also be at the official launch of FIFA 13 on 24th September playing the game in the FIFA 13 tournament and interviewing football celebrities. The band said ““FIFA is by far the most addictive game we play on the tour bus and when we’re at home.  It’s a great game to play with your mates and drive them crazy when you beat them, and it’s even better when your song comes on after the match.”

‘This Is Real’ sounds like a classic Enemy song. Building slowly, it launches into a huge anthemic chorus with Tom’s distinctive vocals backed by heavy drums and guitars. One of the standout tracks of The Enemy’s set at summer festivals, with a crowd of 10,000 fans at T in the Park chanting along to it arms in the air, it is the perfect guitar anthem.

New album ‘Streets in the Sky’ is the bands third album and was recorded in London and LA with Joby J. Ford from seminal US punk band The Bronx.  The 12-track album has the signature Enemy guitar sound yet it is much heavier than the last two albums and it charted at #9 in its first week of release, which is the third Top 10 album for the band.

The Enemy formed in hometown Coventry in 2006 by three friends; Andy Hopkins (25, bass), Liam Watts (24, drums) and Tom Clarke (24, vocals/guitar). Their first single ’40 days, 40 nights’ sold out all 1000 copies of its limited edition 7” in less than a day and signaled only the start for The Enemy. Their debut 2007 album ‘We’ll Live and Die in These Towns’ charted at #1 selling over 600,000 copies with big singles ‘Away From Here’ (Top 10) and ‘Had Enough’ (Top 5) gaining the band an army of diehard fans. Their second album ‘Music For The People’ was released in 2009 and charted very strongly at #2 with hit ‘Be Somebody’ continued to be used on ITV’s FA Cup coverage.

To date, the Enemy have sold over half a million tickets for their live gigs. The band celebrated the release of their third album with two gigs in their hometown of Coventry along with a performance at the FA Cup Final on the roof of Wembley Stadium. The Enemy will be touring the UK this September and October and full live dates are below:
