LAST NIGHTS QUEEN OF HOXTON SHOW A SELL-OUT

“Svelte, high-energy guitar anthems” NME

Dexters have announced that they will release their debut single ‘Recover’ on 7” and iTunes after huge demand from their free download release on Facebook last month. The release will also feature a brand new B-side called ‘Conscience Calls’.

Last night, Dexters played a sold out headline show at London’s Queen of Hoxton and have just announced that they will be supporting The Happy Mondays at their two headline London Roundhouse shows on 19th and 20th December.

Dexters are Tom Rowlett (vocals), Chris Heggie (guitars, BV’s), Ben Debo (lead guitar, BV’s), Vincent Dignan (bass, BV’s) and Chris Mardon (drums). The band formed in 2011 after growing up together on estates in the rougher part of East London. Their sound merges their wide range of influences from the melodies of The LA’s to the sheer punk, visceral aggression of The Clash and The Specials and the narrative packed lyrics of The Kinks.

Debut single ‘Recover’, which has already been added the the XFM evening playlist, is 3-minutes of brash drums and jangling guitars backed by catchy vocals and a huge chorus. Produced by Jamie Ellis (Paul Epworth / Chapel Club) and mixed by Duncan Mills (The Vaccines / Beastie Boys / MGMT), it is a massive guitar anthem and the perfect introduction to the band. Confident, rampant and energetic; this is Dexters.

The video was shot on an East London estate in lead singer Tom Rowlett’s parent’s house and was filmed during a raucous house party where the band performed for friends and fans. You can watch the video here – http://bit.ly/RecoverYT - which has already had almost 27,000 views on Youtube.

Dexters are currently working on their debut album which will be released in 2013. The band recently toured the UK with The Enemy, played London support shows with both The View and Glasvegas and headlined their own London shows including Club NME at Koko. Full upcoming UK tour dates are listed below;
