Radiohead call 'The King Of Limbs' a "grower"

Radiohead have admitted they knew their new record, 'The King of Limbs', would be a grower rather than something that immediately grabbed listeners.

Speaking to Drowned In Sound, the band's drummer Phil Selway explained that it's a reaction to their previous album, 'In Rainbows', and that it wasn't designed to be a chart hit:

"With The King of Limbs, we all knew that it wasn't going to be an immediate record but a lot of great records have been 38 minutes long. It's that old chestnut of a grower."

"Every record that we've done has been a reaction to the last one and The King of Limbs carried on that tradition for us,"
