Radiohead pay tribute to crew member killed in stage collapse

Radiohead have paid tribute to their drum technician after he was killed in a tragic accident just hours before the band were due to go on stage.

The 'No Surprises' stars were setting up for a performance at Downsview Park in Toronto on June 16 when the event's entire stage roof collapsed, killing their 33-year-old crew member Scott Johnson.

The group posted a public message to their official website and their drummer, Philip Selway, wrote:

"We have all been shattered by the loss of Scott Johnson, our friend and colleague. He was a lovely man, always positive, supportive and funny; a highly skilled and valued member of our great road crew."

"We will miss him very much. Our thoughts and love are with Scott's family and all those close to him."
