New York, NY – Big Apple Comic Convention (BACC), NYC’s original comic con now in its 28th year, is excited to announce its 4th Annual Holiday Con, a festive celebration to kick off the holiday season with style, fun, and fandom. This unique event is a party-convention hybrid that combines exciting giveaways, special events, and holiday cheer with NYC’s year-round passion for comics and pop culture collectibles. Taking place on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the historic New Yorker Hotel, the Holiday Con promises a day of excitement for fans of all ages.

This year’s Holiday Con will feature over 100 exhibitors, artists, guests, and cosplayers, emphasizing talented up-and-coming creators from the NYC area. As always, attendees can expect a dazzling showcase of comic books, art, merchandise, and collectibles. The event also serves as a hub for fans to meet legendary creators, interact with pop culture icons, and enjoy a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates the creative community.

BACC is proud to partner with Crash Media Partners, renowned art promoters Scott Mauriello and Chris Parente, who are bringing fresh energy to this year’s convention. Their collaboration introduces exciting new features, including a dedicated 1,400-square-foot event room filled with rare and collectible items from Joe Koch and Forbidden Planet, offering fans the chance to score incredible deals. Additionally, this year’s show introduces a brand-new Independent Creators Alley, providing a platform for small and independent creators to share their work with a wider audience.

The Holiday Con boasts a remarkable guest lineup, featuring iconic creators and entertainers who have shaped the world of comics and pop culture. Among the star-studded attendees are Howard Chaykin, the legendary writer and artist behind Star Wars and Captain America; Bill Plympton, the celebrated animation director and award-winning filmmaker; and Alitha Martinez, Eisner Award-winning artist of World of Wakanda, X-Men, and Black Panther. Fans can also meet Aaron Reynolds, creator of the bestselling Effin’ Birds series; underground comics legend Larry Welz; and Marc Thompson, the voice actor behind beloved characters in Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon. Other notable attendees include Amy Chu, acclaimed writer of Red Sonja and Poison Ivy, and John O’Hurley, best known for his role on Seinfeld and as the voice of King Neptune in SpongeBob SquarePants.

Beyond the stellar guest list, the Holiday Con will also feature a dedicated Pokémon event room where fans can meet voice actors and participate in themed activities. For those with a flair for fashion and nostalgia, an Archie-themed cosplay contest adds a playful twist to the day’s festivities. Martial arts enthusiasts will enjoy the NYC premiere of Martialist 2, presented by Martial Arts Hall of Famer Sifu Cliff Kupper.

The Big Apple Comic Con Holiday Con is more than a fan convention—it’s a collector’s paradise. Guests can explore an extensive marketplace filled with sought-after comic books, artwork, and memorabilia, making it the perfect place to find unique gifts for the holidays. The Holiday Con will take place from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with early admission starting at 9:00 AM. General admission tickets are $30, VIP tickets are $85, and admission for children under 14 is $15. Children under 10 are free.
