Ricky Martin has been announced as one of the performers at this year's Billboard Latin Music Awards.

The singer will take to the stage at the BankUnited Center on the University of Miami campus in Florida on April 24 as Billboard celebrate the best in Latin music.

He is joined on the bill by fellow new additions Luis Fonsi and Mexican act Banda El Recodo De Cruz Lizarraga.

Their confirmation comes after the announcement of Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausini, David Bisbal, Juanes and La Arrolladora Banda El Limon De Rene Camacho.

Martin meanwhile is due to release a new album this year as he follows up 2011's 'Música + Alma + Sexo'.
