Robbie Williams says Gary Barlow is his rock

Robbie Williams has admitted that he turns to Gary Barlow whenever he has personal difficulties.

The two singers have known each other for some time having appeared in veteran boyband Take That together.

It seems their bond has continued through to the present day, however, with Williams telling the Daily Star that Barlow is one of the first people he will speak to if he is down or frustrated.

The singer said: "I always call Gary - he can sort out any personal dilemma. Oh my lord, he's like a Swiss army knife. I needed something desperately the other night, I can't say what, but he sorted it out in a matter of minutes."

Williams meanwhile is due to release new swing album 'Swings Both Ways' on November 18.

The record - which spiritually follows up his 2001's covers effort 'Swing When You're Winning' - will feature duets with the likes of Lily Allen, Kelly Clarkson and Michael Bublé.

Williams' last full solo record came in the shape of 2012's 'Take The Crown'.
