Quirky indie rockers Enola Fall release new single 'Stab On!'Anthemic new indie-pop track is lifted from 'Heliotropic' LP"Instantly pulls in the listener with its powerful arrangements and infectious vocals and lyrics" - Diffuser "You feel compelled to keep listening to their soul-searching lyrics as the beat presses forward" - Stereogum "Vivacious anthems packed with pop hooks and atmospheric sounds" - GroundSounds "First off: Enola Fall is from Tasmania, and that is awesome. Second: The band is really good" - Huffington Post Melbourne-based Tasmanian indie-poppers Enola Fall have unveiled Stab On!, the lead single from their new album Heliotropic. The soaring slice of windswept indie-pop showcases sharp lyrics & hooks alongside new wave guitars and synths. For the last decade Enola Fall have become a fixture on the Australian indie scene, playing major festivals and supporting acts like Courtney Barnett, The Jezabels, Amanda Palmer and The Violent Femmes on tour. Anchored by singer/guitarist/songwriter Joe Nuttall, the band have picked up press acclaim with Huffington Post, USA Today & Stereogum, played shows across the USA and enjoyed radio support from tastemakers at Triple J & over 100 American stations. ‘Stab On!’ was recorded in Sydney with Lachlan Mitchell (The Vines/The Jezabels) and is a fitting introduction to Enola Fall for European audiences - urgent, melodic and deceptively dark, it skewers hipster culture whilst offering earworm hooks and an insistent energy. As Nuttall explains - “This song is a statement about simply not giving a fuck if you’re cool or not. There’s a culture in Melbourne of not-trying-too-hard. It’s a strange combination of hipster kids and that particular Australian apathy, where there’s the mindset of ‘Don’t spend too much effort or time on art, just grow a moustache’, which is the worst advice to give a musician ever!”. Enola Fall will be hitting the road in support of the new single and album this Autumn. For more info, head to facebook.com/enolafall
