Nine Inch Nails meets Smashing Pumpkins & Sonic Youth – Mind Equals Blown

We have something remarkable on our hands – This Is Not A Scene

Rising electro-rockers This Burning Age have released their new single Tatterdemalion, the opening track from their recent EP Desolation. The visceral new song is an aggressive cocktail of pummelling drums, throat-ripping melodies and wall of sound distortion.

Influenced by a wide range of musical heavyweights like Bowie, Nine Inch Nails and Nirvana, This Burning Age make music that demands the attention of your ears, heart and head - aggressive, unpredictable, adventurous alt-metal with lyrics exploring love, sex, death and the human condition that offer no easy answers. As charismatic frontman Friday explains - “In an industry that's become a little stale and predictable, it's our aim to not only create music that we'd want to hear but that pushes boundaries. We want to make music that inspires - both intellectually as well as in that all important, almost inexplicable, visceral, kick-in-the-guts way that you feel when you hear something you immediately connect to.”

With rave reviews across alternative and metal media, radio support from BBC Introducing and a string of sellout shows in their hometown of rock mecca Birmingham, This Burning Age look set to be making connections and pushing boundaries for years to come.
