EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH INTERNATIONAL SINGER/SONGWRITER K-SYRAN

International singer/songwriter and playwrite, talks about her future plans following this year’s International Women’s Day anthem and her forthcoming controversial duet with Sugababe, Amelle

1. You’ve been around on the music scene for a little while now, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your music?

I’d describe myself as an actress turning into professional singer, which has been an amazing journey! I write my own music so every song has a personal story .

2. You’ve had x3 Top 10 dance hits, tell us about them.

Mark Loverush heard my album and loves it! Said he could mix my whole album.

He started off with "You Don't Love Me Anymore" and after the success of #5 in

UK dance charts he also mixed "Heartless" #4 and "Intimacy"#8.

3. Are you planning more dance tracks as we head into the Ibiza season?

Actually I’m working on one right now, that's already got lots of interest!

4. Your latest single ‘Testify’ is a duet with Amelle from The Sugababes,

how did that union come about?

Metropolis Studios knows her so they introduced us. Our voices seems to blend

in beautifully with each other.

5. We see that the subject matter of ‘Testify’ has caused a bit of

controversy, can you tell us the story behind the song?

From hearing rumours about a couple of best girlfriends starting a sexual affair, I

began to dig a bit deeper and found out that this is something quit common. I

found it fascinating and intriguing. Do they feel they are not cheating on their

husbands and it's okey? Are they missing sexual intimacy from their husbands

and seeking it somewhere they know they have love? Because between best

girlfriends there is a lot of love.

6. We’ve heard that you took an unusual approach by asking fans to send

in their ‘kiss’ clips for the video – tell us about that.

I feel that today with social media we are all together and should reach out to

each other. Felt this was a way for everyone to feel that they could be apart of

this journey.

7. You clearly use your music to get important messages across, is that an

important factor in your performance?

Being an actress this is alfa omega to me!  I need to touch people through my

songs.

8. You had the anthem for International Women’s Day this year – are

women an important cause for you?

Very! I'm passionate for the cause for women! There's still so much left to

achieve!

9. What else are you up to at the moment?

Filming end of May so preparing my role.

10. What’s the next sound that we can expect from you…pop, dance,

maybe a political anthemic track?

I’m working on a dance track for Ibitza this summer, and also one can say a

"political" track coming very soon, so watch this space.  K-Syran will always have

something new and fresh to say!

11. If you could give one message out to your fans, what would it be?

Keep dreaming! And don't allow fear to put your dreams asleep.
