Your Radio 103 DJ, Rachelle Rhienne, Announces New Single

Scottish songstress and Your Radio 103 presenter, Rachelle Rhienne, brings a warm glow to Autumn’s chilly nights as she releases her new single ‘Candle’ amongst the back drop of her home town of Loch Lomond

As dark days draw in and cold creeps its chilly arms  around us, UK singer songwriter, Rachelle Rhienne ignites a warm sparkling flame as she entices us into the magical melodic glow of her new track ‘Candle’, released on 24 November. Rachelle took the industry by storm earlier this year when she unveiled her jaw-dropping video to her summer track ‘When The Sun Goes Down’….audiences quickly realised that Rachelle Rhienne was as stunning as her vocals.  Now, shimmering off the back of that summer success, this Scottish beauty hand-picks Loch Lomond as the setting of her new video and holds a ray of light up to the world as ‘Candle’ gives us a seasonal burst of upbeat happiness.

Co-written and produced alongside Gary White Gary White (BAFTA Nominated), ‘Candle’ is an uplifting spark of musical joy, written with the sole intention of bringing a ray of rapture into these dismal winter days.  A biographical snapshot from Rachelle’s life, ‘Candle’ casts happy images of feeling content and comfortable with someone that’s special to you – that one person who lights up even your darkest of days. Given that the song is so personal to Rachelle, she chose to shoot the video in her favourite place on earth, her home town of Loch Lomond.  This is the perfect location, as the stunning scenery and beauty of the Loch bring the story of ‘Candle’ into full perspective.  Filmed and edited by Arran Christie Dawson, the video stars a special appearance from Rachelle’s greatest loves - her dogs Millie and Jess!

Most well known for her ‘From Rachelle With Love’ radio show on Your Radio 103 FM which airs at 10pm on Sunday nights, 23-year-old Rachelle Rhienne is an award-winning singer/songwriter from Loch Lomond.  Creating catchy up-tempo pop tracks, with subtle influences of soul and R&B, her strength lies in writing those big, emotional power-ballads with lyrics that tell a story and touch people with their melodies. Passionate about the Spanish language, Rachelle has translated several of her songs into Spanish, performing them in Spain and gigs around the UK including King Tuts, Glasgow Armadillo, The Hippodrome (London), Ronnie Scotts and various venues across Europe.

A prolific lyricist, many of Rachelle’s songs have won her awards in song-writing competitions, but she officially came to the attention of the industry in 2015 when she won a national Future Music Song Writing Competition for her track ‘The Chance To Say’.  The spotlight was glaring and it didn’t take long before Rachelle was snatched up by Kris Mitra of Bright Star Records and plunged into the gorgeous world of studio recording.  ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ was the first of a series of single releases to result from those sessions and was released during the hot summer months of this year.

Now Rachelle creates her own natural spotlight as she ignites the tempting glow of ‘Candle’.  The perfect track to light up every corner and crevice of our crisp winter nights, let Rachelle Rhienne bring the glow of happiness!

The single ‘Candle’ is released on 24 November on Bright Star Records
