Introducing the remarkable UK singer-songwriter, Satch Satchell, whose unparalleled lyrical talent and vocal ability have captured the attention of festival-goers across Europe (Glastonbury, Reeperbhan, The Great Escape); and now punches its weight in recorded format with his debut VP, ‘E.P.I.S.O.D.A’, released on 25 October, hot-footed by the first single ‘All For You’ on 15 November.

On the brink of imminent transition, and potentially about to lose the voice he’d just found, this young trans artist chose to use his vocal cords as an instrument.

Recording whilst in transition, ‘E.P.I.S.O.D.A’ exposes a triumphant musical evolution of vocal pitch and quality, as Satch Satchell becomes the first ever artist to duet with himself on the same track, in two different octaves. Fans can expect a ‘release per week’ across x6 weeks, as Satch opens-up the VP collection and unveils all.

Busting creative boundaries, ‘E.P.I.S.O.D.A’ is a VP, aptly named due to the shrink-wrapped accompaniment of a bespoke video for each track, all of which jigsaw together to take the listener on a melodic cyclic journey through six-stages of a relationship.

Reflecting back, Satch admits a subconscious comparison to his own trans-journey throughout each of the tracks too.

The first of the sextuplet collection, ‘All For You’, champions the way as the first song to be hand-picked for radio. ‘All For You’, embodies the nerve-shaking co-existence of fear and excitement, never felt more than in the prelude of a romantic confession. The suspense-filled narrative, is supported by dark synthesisers, heart-grabbing vocals, and a structure purposely weaponised for teasing. The stoic ear-worm hook of the chorus, serves as a companion to the lasting feels of relatability.

The five following tracks, each bring to life a different stage of a relationship, from love, right through to heartbreak and back to the seeds of burgeoning attraction. Satch manipulates vocals in pitch and effect, as a prosodic feature and sub plot, crafting a thread that runs throughout the track listing, embracing the hand dealt and fast forwarding his new ‘normal’.
