AboutThe mantle of UK Piano Man has been dominated by Elton John, Jools Holland and Jamie Cullum. Over the past five decades, no one else has come remotely close – until now! From the moment Tom Seals stepped on stage for his sell-out ‘Let the Good Times Roll’ Tour, he had the world at his fingertips. His virtuoso soloing, excellent improvisation skills and distinctive voice, have left top industry officials hailing him as the UK’s finest boogie woogie and blues pianist/vocalist. Tom has worked with, and supported, established artists such as Jools Holland, Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter, Dame Cleo Laine, Hugh Laurie, KT Tunstall and Matt Lucas. Still only in his mid-twenties, Seals is surely destined for greatness. Hot on the heels of sell-out shows across the globe, including Ronnie Scott’s in London and a stunning performance at the Birdland Jazz Club on Broadway New York, Tom Seals’ star is destined to soar stratospherically in 2021, with the release of a new album and live dates worldwide that include the Dubai Opera House. Tom had to put his degree studies at Paul McCartney’s LIPA on hold after his 2017 debut EP, ‘Where I’m At ‘Live’’, soared to No1 in the UK Blues Charts. A career highlight was performing a ‘1 piano – 4 hands’ version of ‘Route 66’ with Jamie Cullum and appearing at Jools Holland’s Boogie Woogie & Blues Spectacular in Canary Wharf. During the lockdown of 2020, Tom launched ‘The Tom Seals Show – in Isolation’ online. Featuring chat and duets, the show hosted guests such as KT Tunstall, Sarah Jane Morris and Matt Lucas. Capturing the attention of TV bosses, it didn’t take long for Tom’s show to move over to TV format, with Sky signing Tom for his own headline show ‘Tom Seals Presents’. His first season of 13 episodes kicks off on Sky 191 on 4 April. This time also saw the release of Tom’s debut single ‘Black Coffee’. Released on Right Track Records and distributed through Universal Music, this too went straight to No1 in the Blues Chart. ‘Black Coffee’ is now being played in many high street shops across the world; from Harrods to Carluccio’s, Waterstones, Home Bargains and over 950 Caffe Nero stores in 11 countries. It’s no surprise therefore, that Tom has been signed as a music ambassador for Yamaha Music London, kicking off with a 12-week mini online TV show called ‘Tom Seals Plays Yamaha Music London’, launching this Spring. Tom is delighted to be working on a major project with The Department for International Trade for the UK Pavilion and representing the nation, as invited by the UK Government, at Expo 2020 in Dubai. More to come on this. Alongside Atomic Kitten star, Natasha Hamilton, Tom released his first ever Christmas single, ‘I Can’t Wait To Spend Christmas With You’. Reaching No3 in the UK Christmas Charts, Tom and Natasha performed this song to a sold-out Dubai Opera House. Joining his hero, Billy Joel, Whoopi Goldberg, Sting, Elvis Costello, President Bill Clinton, Kurt Elling, Diana Krall, Wynton Marsalis, Postmodern Jukebox, Steve Tyrell, Billy Stritch and so many more, Tom was delighted to be a part of the ‘Save Birdland: A Celebration of Music, History and Community’ fundraising show. Tom has performed at Festivals worldwide including: Montreux Jazz, Glastonbury, Dranouter (Belgium), Once In a Blue Moon (Holland)…the list goes on. With a major label behind him, a headline TV Show of his own on Sky, support from blue chip brands, a string of chart hits under his belt – not to mention smashing album of incredible tracks due for release later this year; Tom Seals is about to explode in 2021!
