The Saturdays' Frankie Bridge talks juggling work with being a mother

The Saturdays star Frankie Bridge has opened up on the struggle she has combining Strictly Come Dancing and being a mother.

The singer gave birth to her first child Parker last year, but she is currently a contestant on the BBC One dancing show.

Speaking in a new interview with Women's Health, Bridge said that she sometimes just gets to see her child for a couple of minutes a day.

The singer said: "I hate it if I leave in the morning and Parker's not up, and I get home and he's already in bed. It doesn't happen often, but if it does and he wakes in the middle of the night crying, I'm happy – we can cuddle for two minutes."

Bridge added that she felt lucky that she didn't suffer from postnatal depression after giving birth. She said:

"It was one of my biggest fears because so many people do get postnatal depression. I was convinced I was going to get it – but I didn’t and somehow that’s just made it all even more positive."
