The Saturdays: "We love One Direction, but we're too old for them"

The Saturdays have revealed their admiration for One Direction - but they admit they're too old to fancy them.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' stars have gained legions of adoring female fans since appearing on the X Factor in 2010, becoming global heartthrobs in the process.

Speaking to The Sun, The Saturdays' Frankie Sandford said that they view the group, however, as more like "little brothers" than attractive males. She said:

"We love One Direction but they are like little brothers. You see girls screaming at them and it feels a bit weird. I think we’re a little bit old for them."

The singer added: "We knew every step of their relationship, every holiday they went on. That put pressure on them. When you are that age you do have relationships that don't last, a month is a big romance. But I thought, 'Good for them, they are having fun and enjoying it'."
