'From This Moment On' singer Shania Twain has revealed that she admires Kesha for being such an authentic artist who is brave in her approach to artistry. 

At the ceremony, she thanked Kesha for being such a strong and honest songwriter and said: "I want to thank Kesha for being so open-hearted. This is what songwriting is all about."

"I don't always feel brave, I don't always feel courageous and confident. But on a day like today, celebrating women who have come so far in the industry - we all know the only way to get here is by dreaming, working really, really hard, and being courageous."

Shania Twain received the Icon honour at the Billboard Women in Music event while Kesha picked up the Trailblazer prize.
