'Stitches' hitmaker Shawn Mendes has opened up about his forthcoming new album. 

During an interview with ET Canada, the heartthrob explained that he is incredibly excited about the new material he has been working on:

"I would say the actual new song is more on the poppier side of the album... I'm so excited about it, even the next couple of singles coming up, I get goosebumps just thinking about it and, like, where the future's headed. As an artist and a creator of music, I'm very proud of my work. I'm very picky."
