Forbes magazine has unveiled its 2016 list of 30 Under 30: Music and it includes none other than Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes. 

The publication spoke to Mendes after placing him on the list and the 17-year-old sensation explained that he tries not to think too seriously about being a professional musician. 

When asked about the moment he realised he could have this particular career, the 'Stitches' singer said:

"Maybe yesterday, seriously, I'm 17. The way I keep myself sane is by thinking of it as fun."

Other musicians that made the prestigious list include Leon Bridges, 'Trumpets' hitmaker Jason Derulo, China's G.E.M., 'Flesh Without Blood' star Grimes, and Selena Gomez. Halsey, Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato are also included.
