Canadian singer-songwriter and musician Shawn Mendes has revealed that when his schedule eases up a little he wants to move into acting. 

The "Stitches" heartthrob told America's Rolling Stone magazine that he loves acting and will pursue that passion in the future: "For sure and as soon as I can. As soon as I get time, I really wanna dig down and do some acting."

When asked to describe his dream role, Mendes added: "Spider-Man? I'm kidding. Anything, really. I really love to just act. It doesn't matter what it is."

The talented youngster, who has just unveiled his highly anticipated album Illuminate, also confessed that he has already started working on his next studio album because he is so inspired and motivated lately: "I've already started writing for it. It's all going to be growing with my life and what I'm listening to."
