Amongst the hashtag backlash that the Academy has been receiving recently on Twitter, following the distinct lack of coloured talent on this year's Oscars nomination list, the legendary rapper Snoop Dogg has now taken to his Instagram too, to air out his own view points with the Academy Awards.

“Somebody was actually like am I gonna watch the motherfucking Oscars. Fuck no," he said about the annual ceremony in a video clip. 

"What the fuck am I going to watch that bullshit for? They ain’t got no n----s nominated. All these great movies and all this great shit ya’ll keep stealing from us. Fuck you! Fuck you!” 

Other rappers who have blasted the Oscar nods, which sparked the trending topic #OscarsSoWhite - include Jeezy and Bun B.
