Courteney Cox has revealed that she is engaged to Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid.

The couple, who have been dating since last year, confirmed the news on Twitter on Thursday (June 26).

They both posted the same picture of each other together, with Cox saying: "I'm engaged to him!"

McDaid said: "I'm engaged to her!"

The duo were said to have been introduced by mutual friend Ed Sheeran, who suggested in April that they might marry soon.

He revealed: "I'm not sure that it's public knowledge, so maybe I shouldn’t have said anything – but, yes, they're already living together. Things are moving fast. He moved in and, judging by the last time I saw them, they couldn’t be happier. They get on really well and are genuinely good friends, pardon the pun."
