Snow Patrol suffering writer's block

Gary Lightbody, front man and guitarist with Snow Patrol, has revealed that the band are working on their next album, but he's been struggling with writer's block since starting the project.

He spoke to XFM about the forthcoming record, which is currently untitled, and explained that the music is "flowing" but the lyrics aren't:

"I've been having some trouble writing words, little bit of writer's block, but the music is flowing."

"There are four or five songs that are sounding like singles. Whether they're hits or not is up to the public but they are sounding like things I would hear on the radio."

Lightbody also said that the band's sound and style has definitely grown since their last release, 'A Hundred Million Suns', which came out in 2008:

"Although there's some big rock songs and some little quiet gems too. We're spreading out a little and it's sounding absolutely glorious."
