A blissful new collaboration with poet, alternative Hip-hop artist and fellow Mancunian, DÁMÌ SULE, the track finds the pair on a spiritual wavelength. Written about two people in a relationship with differing perspectives, 'Time After Time' sees Harriet and Dámì vocalising each and exploring the very essence of what connects them together.
"I received a message from Dámì Sule asking to collaborate! I was super gassed about it, as I loved his new single at the time 'Feel Like'. We arranged to have a studio session in Stockport around 9pm and I ended up finishing the song in one session which took us up to 4am the next day."
"We went through some beats that W4V£$ had and instantly we were both drawn to one beat." Harriet adds. "The writing process of the song just went off feeling. At the start we were both improvising and then we had the idea to turn the song into a dialogue and stray from the usual song structure."
'Time After Time' is just the third single from Manchester's Harriet Curry, directly following the deeply personal recent cut 'Girls' and 2018's acclaimed offering 'Cuckoo'. Harriet's knack for distinctly contemporary soul and fresh-faced future RnB-stylings has already seen her attract praise from the likes of BBC Introducing and The Manchester Evening News, who said: 'with her lithe neo-soul melodies, and intimate diaristic songwriting style, Curry perfectly compliments British R&B's current trend for cool introspection.' For the uninitiated Curry's 'Time After Time' collaborator, Dámì Sule, is a fast-rising poet from Manchester and like-mind. He recently released his EP 'This Love I Have' which was immediately picked up by Jamz Supernova for her 'Top 5' on BBC 1Xtra.
