After moving across the country to pursue music in Los Angeles, August found herself reflecting on lessons she's learned in past relationships to inspire songs with substance.

August Rose commented: "I found myself falling back into similar patterns of my past relationships, prioritizing temporary people in my life over myself. I wanted to remind myself what I went through and emulate how it felt in a song that wasn't too depressing that it would send me into a negative mindset. A lighthearted anthem with lyrics that actually meant something to me.".

Inspired by music at a young age, singing has always been a part of her life.

Having been through so much in her short time, she aspires to construct tracks that capture her emotions in a way that can relate to, connect with, and move her audience. As a woman of Vietnamese descent, she strives to become a strong female role model that can represent her culture and break the norms in the music industry.

August is currently working in Los Angeles making her passion for music her career with a soon to be released EP.
