Today we share the debut track from Trevor Powers and a wonderfully evocative accompanying video for “Playwright.” Directed by Dan Opsal, with masterful choreography by the swimming troupe, Aqualillies, the nocturnal, subaqueous setting of the video for “Playwright” perfectly captures the song’s glacial and alien beauty.

Trevor has composed this hand-written note, which illuminates his reasons for retiring his previous project, Youth Lagoon, the myriad sources of inspiration that mark this new stage of his musical output, and more about “Playwright.”
