BOY HARSHER share new video for "LA (Rabit remix)" and accompanying face filterMore live dates announcedOFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Stereo Sanctity BOY HARSHER Photographed: Still from "LA (Rabit remix)" video, by Kathleen Dycaico Ahead of tour dates throughout North America and Europe later this year, BOY HARSHER have shared a striking new video and accompanying face filter. Watch the video for "LA (Rabit remix)": https:// In the new clip, director Kathleen Dycaico continues the character created in the video for the original track "LA," journeying to an inner life where consciousness is split between characters Hunter and Harmony; one grieving the end of the world they knew, the other biting into a burning future. "Hunter and Harmony are two sides of a coin, faces vs face, field vs ground. Harmony is heartbroken in their burning house, inner mirror to complete environmental collapse. Hunter evolved ruthless to protect Harmony, and to face the outside world. Running in despair. Heavy the weight of desire. I loved our world." The polarity of Dycaico's character plays over Rabit's spectral remix of the track, which was released as part of the band's recent remix vinyl series and digital album "Careful Remixes, etc". Rabit used only vocal stems in order to create a remix that is as alien as it is unrecognisable. There's a beauty in the songs' unease, its heavy space, shattered by occasional yells and almost phrases. It sits heavy like an echo chamber. Rabit (Eric Burton) releases records on Tri Angle, Ninja Tune, and runs his own label Halcyon Veil, out of Houston, Texas. Burton was featured as a producer on Björk’s Grammy-nominated album ‘Utopia’ for the track “Losss”. In celebration of this video release, Kathleen Dycaico worked with digital artist Úna Blue to create an Instagram face filter modelled after her apocalyptic character Hunter. Dycaico describes Hunter's scorpions as: "built to withstand harsh country, not vengeful unless bothered, symbol of betrayal, poisonous. Protective of the mouth, entryway to interiority and gatekeepers of what exits." Use the Boy Harsher face filter at https:// 'Come Closer’ MAXI 12” and ‘Tears’ MAXI 12” are available now through the band mail-order or Bandcamp.
