Welsh rockers Stereophonics are back in the studio working on their brand new album, frontman Kelly Jones has confirmed. 

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, the singer explained they're headed to mainland Europe to continue making progress on the record:

"The album is really good so far. We've been in the studio for a few weeks and we're off to Europe next week to do some more recording."

He didn't reveal any specifics about the direction of the band's new material, but did admit that fans will notice a deviation from their typical style and sound:

"The style is a bit different, we're doing some stuff for films so you'll have to wait and see."
