Stereophonics announce they’ve parted ways with drummerStereophonics have announced that they’ve parted ways with drummer Javier Weyler. The Argentinian-born musician, who replaced the Welsh outfit’s original sticksman, Stuart Cable, in 2005, was confirmed to have left the group in a statement posted by frontman Kelly Jones and bassist Richard Jones on their Facebook page last night. Stuart Cable died in June 2010. It read: "We wanted to let you know Javier and the band will no longer be working together. The band enjoyed playing with Javier over the last 8 years and his company was enjoyed by everyone in the Stereophonics family. The ‘Dakota’ hit-makers are set to play a series of shows with their new line-up this week, ahead of their set at the BT London Live Olympics opening ceremony gig in Hyde Park on Friday.
