Stereophonics have today unveiled their first single in over two years, 'Violins and Tambourines.'

The first release from their upcoming eighth studio album showcases a new mellower acoustic sound from the Welsh rock outfit, who have been largely absent from the music scene since 2010’s 'Could You Be The One.'

Frontman Kelly Jones, who directed its cinematic video, posted a message on the band’s official site to express how much he enjoyed working on the promo:

“I’ve loved film and music ever since I was a kid. When I first started writing songs I realised they could paint pictures in your mind, which inevitably leads to telling stories. 

“I’ve always wanted to combine them both. Directing for the first time with a fantastic crew and cast was a great experience.”
