Susan Boyle says Mum is looking down on her

'Britain's Got Talent' star Susan Boyle has claimed that her late mother Bridget is always looking over her.

Boyle credits her mother for her worldwide success. Speaking on Oprah Winfrey's US talk show, she said, "She's right here in this room. She would have been really proud. I do feel there is a lingering presence - and that person is my mother."

Boyle admitted that she was "let loose" after her first audition on the ITV1 show, which went on to draw an audience of 100 million on YouTube.

"That's when I was let loose. Before the audition my life was kind of mundane routine like everyone else's. After the audition, people started recognising me in the street and I was being seen as a professional singer," she said. Boyle went on to reveal that she was humbled by the success of her transatlantic number one album I Dreamed A Dream. "It's astounding and it's very humbling. A lot of people take the time and trouble to spend their money on an album by an unknown artist, they don't know what they're going to get for the money."
