Syco Music appoints Tom Overbury as Senior A&R Manager

Tom Overbury is to join Syco Music as a Senior A&R Manager, it was announced today [30.01]. He will take up his new role in February 2018 and report to Anya Jones, Head of A&R.

Tom is joining from Warner/Chappell Music, where he has been a Senior A&R Manager for the last four years. In that time, he has signed writers such as Mac & Phil (The Chainsmokers, Emeli Sande, Naughty Boy); Jonny Lattimer (Ellie Goulding, Tom Grennan, Tom Odell) as well as Syco Music signed artist Ina Wroldsen (Calvin Harris How Deep Is Your Love, Clean Bandit Rockabye and Symphony; James Arthur Impossible). Tom also signed UK act You Me At Six to BMG. The band subsequently topped the UK album charts in 2014.

In his new role, Tom – named one of Music Week’s ’30 under Thirty’ in 2014 – will join Syco Music’s renowned A&R team, who have been responsible for some of the UK’s biggest chart successes in recent years including One Direction, Little Mix and James Arthur. To date, Syco artists have sold more than 390 million records worldwide.
