Taylor Swift pays tribute to Shirley Temple with handwritten note

Taylor Swift has paid respect to Shirley Temple following her death.

The Hollywood child star died on Monday (February 10) at the age of 85.

Temple landed her first film role aged just three years old and she was one of the most popular stars of the 1930s.

She retired from film in 1950 before becoming a diplomat, but her legacy has lived on.

This is especially true in Taylor Swift, who posted on Instagram a photo of a handwritten note she penned featuring one of Temple's quotes.

She wrote: "There's nothing like real love. Nothing."

Swift meanwhile is due to perform her final UK Red Tour show in London tonight (February 11) at the O2 Arena.
