Taylor Swift: 'I'm wearing shorter skirts and things I never thought I'd have the confidence for'

'Shake It Off' beauty Taylor Swift has revealed that she's heavily inspired by the fashion from the eighties as well as the music and embracing the decade has given her the confidence to mix up her sense of style in a bold new way.

Swift, who recently released her new album '1989', explained that she is finally wearing things she thought she would never have the guts to dress up in:

"I think there was a freedom to the clothes then and I see how that era had inspired modern fashion trends. So I'm wearing shorter skirts and things I would never have worn three years ago."

The superstar went onto add that in order to keep her endurance on a concert-giving level, she trains hard and enjoys spin classes: "I work out. I do spin classes, which are hard and I don't like doing them but I like how I feel afterwards. The reason I work out is because I want to have endurance and I want to be able to hop on stage and sing a song and dance and not be winded."
