Taylor Swift received 'so many' messages of thanks after Spotify move

Taylor Swift says she has received countless messages of support after pulling her music from Spotify.

The singer removed her back catalogue from the streaming service after the October release of new album '1989'.

She claimed that the platform unfairly rewarded musicians and songwriters.

Speaking in a new interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Swift admitted that she was surprised by the level of interest in her decision.

However, the US star added that her peers have thanked her for speaking up on the matter.

She said: "I didn't think that it would be shocking to anyone. With as many ways as artists are personalising their musical distribution, it didn't occur to me that this would be anything that anyone would talk about.

"But I could never have expected so many text messages, emails and phone calls from other artists, writers and producers saying thank you."
