Taylor Swift trademarks '1989' phrases

Taylor Swift has trademarked a number of phrases related to her current album '1989'.

Legal database Justia have stated that the singer has bagged the trademarks with the US government.

The phrases include 'Party Like It's 1989', 'Cause We Never Go Out of Style' and 'Could Show You Incredible Things'.

'Nice to Meet You, Where You Been?' and 'This Sick Beat' also feature.

The trademarks mean that the phrases cannot be used on various products.

These include apparel, table linen, beach towels and non-medicated toiletries.
