Taylor Swift says it would be 'nice' to win first Brit award

Taylor Swift is hoping to bag her first Brit award this week.

The ceremony is taking place on Wednesday (February 25) at London's O2 Arena.

The US star is nominated in the International Female Solo Artist category alongside the likes of Sia and Beyoncé.

Speaking to Capital FM, Swift said that she wants to win the award because she loves Britain as a country.

She said: "I love it here, I’m in love with [London] too. I’ve never won a BRIT, it would be so nice to.

"You can’t fill my hopes and dreams up with promises that you think I’m going to win..."

Swift has yet to win a Brit award, with her previous nominations coming in 2010 and 2013.
