Taylor Swift will be honoured by the Academy of Country Music next month.

The singer will be one of seven recipients of a 50th Anniversary Milestone Award at the ACM's prize-giving ceremony on April 19.

Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire and Brooks & Dunn will also receive the award.

The honour celebrates some of the ACM's biggest prize-winners over the years.

The trophy will be designed by jeweller David Yurman and it will feature diamonds.

This year's ACM Awards will be broadcast from the AT&T Stadium near Dallas on April 19.
