Taylor Swift on losing GRAMMY prize: 'I went home and cried'
Superstar Taylor Swift has revealed that she broke down in tears after learning her record 'Red' hadn't won the GRAMMY Album of the Year award back in 2014.
Speaking to GRAMMY Pro about the loss, the songstress admitted it was devastating because the way the winner was announced led her to believe her record had scooped the prize:
"When they announced the Album Of The Year winner, it was like, 'And the album of the year goes to... Reeeeeandom Access Memories, Daft Punk!' And they really dragged out the 'reeee.' And for a second there, I kind of thought we had it, and we didn't."
The 'Shake It Off' hitmaker went onto add that she avoided the post-GRAMMYs celebrations after that: "I remember not going to afterparties. I went home and I cried a little bit, and I got In-N-Out Burger and ate a lot."
