Taylor Swift: 'The loss of self-awareness is so dangerous'

'Out Of The Woods' songstress Taylor Swift has warned that losing your sense of self-awareness can be incredibly destructive and will end a creative career.

Speaking to Vogue Australia about what makes an artist fail, the beauty confessed that she's very aware of everything she does and is careful not to get caught up in any one thing:

"It would always seem like the decline of an artist was always attributed to a combinations of things, but I noticed the top elements were loss of self-awareness and making bad art, and usually one led to the other. When you lose your self-awareness you start thinking, ‘Oh, I’m untouchable, everything around me loves everything I do, I have nothing left to prove’. That kind of loss of self-awareness can be so dangerous.”

Earlier this month, Swift told GQ magazine that she has finally found a good balance between career and social life and doesn't ever feel lonely: “I’m around people so much. Massive amounts of people… So then when I go home and turn on the TV, and I’ve got Monica and Chandler and Ross and Rachel and Phoebe and Joey on a 'Friends' marathon, I don’t feel lonely."
