Taylor Swift's reputation stadium tour has broken the American record for the highest-grossing US tour.

Billboard reports that Swift has beaten The Rolling Stones who made a total of $245 million gross from their 2-year-long A Bigger Bang tour which ended in 2007. 

Swift played 38 domestic dates between May 8 - October 6, and during that time she sold 2,068,399 tickets to make a total of $266.1 million.

The biggest overall engagement of Swift's was three consecutive performances July 20-22 at New Jersey's Metlife Stadium, where she grossed an astonishing $22 million and sold 165,654 tickets.
