Taylor Swift is the "real deal" according to The All-American Rejects

As Taylor Swift turned 22 yesterday, she spent the evening celebrating alongside the likes of Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and Kenny Chesney at the Country Music Television Artist of the Year special where The All-American Rejects played tribute to her.

The 'Gives You Hell' singers took to the stage to pay homage to the birthday girl with a performance of her song, 'Mean', with their own twist, says singer, Tyson Ritter:

"It's special. We have a special performance for Miss Taylor Swift...We're performing her song 'Mean.' We definitely sort of took a country song and made it not anything like what it was. It's going to be a tribute to the fact that any song can stand in any genre, and we definitely brought it into ours. We're like the Osmonds, except we're the side that's a little more rock and roll".

Ritter continued to praise Swift's work ethic:

"She's the real deal. She doesn't take sh*t from anybody while she does it. And strong women, that's something to be feared and adored, right?"
