Taylor Swift honoured with Canadian award

Country-pop superstar Taylor Swift has been named as one of the lucky winners at this year's Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA).

The talented songstress is set to receive the coveted CCMA Generation Award at a ceremony in Saskatoon on September 9, just days after her scheduled performance at the 2012 MTV VMAs.

Ted Ellis, President of the CCMA, explained in an official statement that Swift was the obvious choice for the prize because she "embodies every aspect of the CCMA Generation Award" and has devoted time and money to various charities while continuing on with her impressive music career:

"Since 2010, she has not only become the biggest selling country artist in Canada, she is also one of the top selling artists in the world, across all genres."

She recently unveiled the music video for 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' and took to social networking site Twitter to tell her fans some interesting details about the final cut, writing:

"Fun facts about the "We Are Never" music video: it's all in one take, shot with one camera, 5 costume changes, and woodland creatures." Watch her music video for 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' below:
