Taylor Swift's latest single breaks another chart record

Country-pop sweetheart Taylor Swift is making waves with her latest single, 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', and it's now been named the longest-leading country song since 1980 by Billboard.

The track has now spent an impressive 3 weeks at the top of the Hot 100, which has made it the longest rule for a country single in almost 32 years.

Billboard reports that Kenny Rogers' "Lady" Led for six weeks back in November of 1980 and Swift is on course to enjoy similar chart success.

She recently travelled to Canada to collect the Generation title at the Canadian Country Music Awards and tweeted (September 9): "In Saskatoon for the Canadian Country Music Awards. Drinking a pumpkin spice latte. Just realized 70% of my tweets are food or cat related."

'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' has climbed 1 place to No.7 in today's midweek chart update in the UK. Watch her music video for the break-up anthem below:
