Taylor Swift teases secret collaborations on new album 'Red'

'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' superstar Taylor Swift has admitted that there are "many surprises" on her new album that she is yet to reveal.

Although it has already been confirmed that 'Red' will feature a collaboration with singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, Swift told Rolling Stone that she may be sharing snippets from the record up until its release on October 22, but there are some details she simply won't give out:

"I really want there to be so many surprises left on the record for when it comes out eventually, some collaborations that haven't been talked about and some songs that are definitely what make the album so unique."

She also explained that one of the first factors she considers when writing a new song is how the person it's about might react to hearing it, adding: "When I write a song, the first thing I think about is, 'OK, this is a message to a person, what are they gonna think when they hear it?'"

"The second thing I think of is, 'Ooh, how are we gonna play this in concert? What's the lighting gonna be like? What costumes are we gonna have?' So the visual part of the story comes to me pretty quickly after I write the song."
