Taylor Swift on love: 'I don't set myself any rules and fall hard'

Country-pop sensation Taylor Swift has admitted that when it comes to love she likes to go into it with an open heart and open mind because she often finds that she talks herself out of it.

Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine, on which she graces the cover of the October 25 issue, the 22-year-old superstar explained that she values falling in love, but it always feels like a huge risk so she just discards any rules and always ends up 'falling hard' for the other person:

"The way I look at love is you have to follow it, and fall hard, if you fall hard. You have to forget about what everyone else thinks."

"It has to be an us-against-the-world mentality. You have to make it work by prioritising it, and by falling in love really fast, without thinking too hard. If I think too hard about a relationship I'll talk myself out of it. ...I have rules for a lot of areas of my life. Love is not going to be one of them."

When asked if she ever just "hooks up" with boys, Swift admitted: "No. Where's the romance? Where's the magic in that? I'm just not that girl. I love the ending of a movie where two people end up together. Preferably if there's rain and an airport or running or a confession of love."
